How to deposit USDT safely, step by step

A short checklist for getting a stablecoin deposit right first time: picking the network, verifying the address, and knowing when it has actually arrived.

Most deposit problems come from two steps being done out of order. Pick the network first, then get the address. Doing it the other way round is how funds end up on the wrong chain.

The checklist

Decide which network you are sending on, based on what the sending side supports. For USDT that is usually TRC20 or ERC20.

Open Receive in BYCRYPTO and select that exact coin and network. The address shown belongs to that combination and nothing else.

Copy the address with the copy button, or scan the QR code if you are on a phone. Do not retype it.

In your sending wallet, select the same network again. This is the step people skip, and it is the one that costs money.

After pasting, compare the first five and last five characters against the address you copied. That catches a clipboard going wrong, which does happen.

Send. If the amount is large and the route is new to you, send a small test first.

After sending

Keep the TXID. Check it on the explorer for your network and wait for a confirmed status.

Your balance is topped up once the transfer has confirmed on the network. If it shows as confirmed on the explorer and your balance has not moved after a reasonable wait, contact support with the TXID and the amount — with those two details it takes a minute to resolve.

Try it with your own balance
