Apple Gift Card & US Apple ID: How to Add Balance (2026)
Apple Gift Cards are the easiest way to pay for apps, iCloud+ and Apple Music without a bank card — as long as your Apple ID is in the right region.
· 1 min read

An Apple Gift Card adds credit to your Apple Account (Apple ID). You can then pay for apps, games, iCloud+ storage, Apple Music, Apple TV+ and in-app purchases from that balance.
Region matters
Apple Gift Cards only work for Apple Accounts in the same country as the card. Our cards are US cards, so they need a US Apple ID.
To check your region: Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region.
